Level 2 Certificate in Paediatric First Aid (PAEDFA2) Training Course
On successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Paediatric First Aid, candidates will be able to:
- describe the duties, responsibilities, general treatment, principles and priorities of first aid provision to infant's,children and adolescents/adults in an Early Years Setting;
- demonstrate an understanding of basic anatomy and physiology in relation to first aid;
- demonstrate Initial Patient Assessment and appropriate use of barriers and infection control;
- recognise and respond to life threatening conditions that require resuscitation;
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the pre-existing conditions of common illnesses;
- recognise and respond to the signs and symptoms of common illnesses;
- recognise and respond to the signs and symptoms of common injuries.
Who Should Attend?
Those with a responsibility for caring for children.
Additional Information:
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing for this course, as it will include the practice of various first aid techniques.
