Moving and Handling for Care Refresher Course (MHPR) Training Course

The purpose of this course is to remind delegates of safe methods of moving service users and/or manual handling and understand why some older methods are positively dangerous – especially for your back!

This course considers:

• the main types of moving - lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
• employers' and employees' responsibilities
• the key elements of a risk assessment - task, load, working environment and individual capability
• the workings of the spine
• using appropriate techniques

All those whose role includes moving and handling of clients and/or manual handling and need a reminder of appropriate information and tewchniques
