This two day course provides a range of in depth information including:

• Learning and research into autism
• Myths and misconceptions
• The range of autism spectrum
• Consideration of autism in the social context
• Communication requirements
• Use of structure, repitition and predictability
• Use of non- aversive approaches
• Challenging behaviour and autism
• Meeting the needs of those with autism
• Sensory stimuli
• Links bewteen stimuli, emotion, movement and memory
• Suporting behaviour
• Dealing with difficuly behaviour

This course is delivered by a highly experienced qualified social worker with additional training and experience in autism.

The course can be delivered over 2 consecutive days or 1 day per week over 2 weeks.  We also offer shorter and longer options tailored to your requirements
